It,s like the writer came home from a party with a major hangover and had to write before deadline. Unfocused, messy, a s***load of names without greater meaning for the story. And the reason I started to read the story The Witcher, is behaving old,confused and weak. And that! pisses me of.
So I was basically angry when finished..
Told largely from a non-inear perspective of multiple different characters recounting their parts in the tale, this book not only reveals a greater complexity in the world of the witcher, but also gives us more of Ciri's maturation as a character. If I have one complaint, it's that this book does not contain enough of Geralt, but this isn't nearly enough to stop me enjoying it, because the other characters (especially Ciri) are so well fleshed-out.
Enjoyed very much
The book is not one continuous story, jumping back and forward through time, it still easy to stay engrossed and very enjoyable.
great story, but the plot goes a bit off
Still takes too long to get to the point. For a quarter of the book nothing happened, in a time where you really want to know what happens next. Very frustrating to read
This book has a major focus on Ciri and her life as a fugitive, full of twists as expected and by far the most spectacular ending and cliffhanger of all the books in the series! This book will keep you on the edge from start to finish, it's gripping and suspenseful, I simply cannot wait for the next book, pre-ordered instantly!
