I am very pleased with our new bible! The pages are not completely transparent, but not as heavy as printer paper..they are a good weight in the fingers. The print is a good size.
I did not realize what was meant by "study" bible. I understood it had references, maps, and charts, but I did not realize they would be on the bottom of each page. I guess they can be helpful, but some pages they take up over half the page, and most does not seem so necessary to me-the average bible reader. So, just understand you're not just getting a bible with a study section, it's a bible with explanations to specific scripture on each page.

Zondervan has been getting lots of "mileage" from their original NIV Study Bible Notes, but that in no was lessens the value or the meaning of this wonderful set of study notes. It is great that Zondervan has extended this valuable tool into other Bible versions. There is no sense to "re-invent the wheel" of study notes for so many of today's Bible versions. Zondervan does seem to have made some minor copy changes to adequately address some of the language variations from the original NIV Study Bible to adapt the notes to the NASB. I find this study bible more accessible than the MacArthur NASB Study Bible, but that's strictly a personal choice.

You can't go wrong if you want to get more depth from studying the NASB than to add this to your Bible library.
Best study Bible I've ever had. Almost "too good"!... I am always fascinated by the study notes, so don,t get as much actual Bible text reading done as maybe I should... I'm busy looking at commentary. Marvelous! Zondervan is a quality publisher. Love the leather cover... burgundy. I've had several of these, and the cover wears out and is worn when the pages are still in great shape. This is a Bible worth re-covering again
Excellent study bible for a student or anyone wanting to have a deeper understanding of God's Word. It offer extra notes for culture or literary context, and poses extra information for deeper though that and study. This is a very close to the original version of the Bible. Easy to read.
I appreciate the NASB for its accuracy. It can be harder to read than some other translations, but it's one of the very best for serious Bible study. The Zondervan commentary that's built into the Bible is excellent--very scholarly, but written at a level that you don't need a PhD to understand. I've had this hardback edition before and it didn't hold up too well (after time, pages fell out). But it's relatively inexpensive and I wanted to have a Bible I could underline and write notes in for my seminary studies.
Such a beautiful Bible. I was so excited to get it, but had to send it back a few times. Be wary of the description of the product. I purchased what was labeled online as Leather Bound, however what was sent to me twice was a Bonded Leather version. I already opened a case with and they are working on adjusting/correcting the problem. I feel like the listing online may just be wrong and it was really supposed to be Bonded Leather, however assured me I should be receiving a Leather Bound version. If Bonded Leather ends up really being the only option in then end, I will order it again in a heartbeat.
The helps in this bible are many. It is a really good publication and I highly recommend it for the various study notes and aides throughout. If you are looking to purchase a really good study bible I recommend this one. If you also want long term durability, spend the extra money for genuine leather, cowhide or calfskin. I was unaware that the one shipped to me was Bonded leather; it will be sent for re-binding later.
i have been a fan of the NASB for some time. This translation without a doubt is the best literal transaltion you can buy, yes it's more The The NASB is the most Bibilcally accurate Bible aviabable in the english language evn more accurate than the ESV! The NASB offers an amazing amount of translational foot notes that the ESV does not have or any other translation accept for the NET Bible
As far as the study Bible itself goes
1-The size is small compared to many of the newer study Bibles
2-The text size is fine and dark enough on a white background to read the verses
3-It has the great text notes found in the zondervan niv study Bible
4-The problems a-it doesn't have enough articles which many newer study bibles are now putting them in b-the translations notes and the Scripture cross reference in the center column are to small for the human eye to read c-its missing the color of the NIV zondervan and the better cross referencing of the niv version and it can alos use some word studieds like the NKJV Nelson study Bible
but i give it a 5 it is excellent
